Where is Columbus, Texas? 

Columbus is the oldest platted town in the Sate of Texas, established in 1823 at the bend of the Colorado River in Colorado County on the site of an Native American settlement called "Montezuma." 

Today, Columbus is located at the junction of Interstate-10 and Highway 71 at the crossroads between Houston, San Antonio, and Austin.
